| Until 1984 the standard "Plastic Coating" Supplied was based on Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC). Although this coating
had excellent anticorrosion properties and generally good chemical resistance, it released highly toxic fumes and
dense smoke when processed or burnt, and because it had no natural adhesion to metal, it's bound was
dependant on the correct application and curing of the adhesive primer.
With the advent of new legislation requiring systems to be halogen free and low smoke, low fume, we developed a new, self-adhesive coating system, specifically applied over degreased mild steel, which had all the benefits of PVC, but was halogen free, low smoke, low fume – namely  . applied over degreased mild steel, has been the standard "Plastic Coating" that has been supplied to applicators.During those twenty one years there has not been one notified case of a failure from the field. |
